What an exciting day of work! I was sitting here minding my own business then *ZAP*, electricity in the hotel was gone. I figured it was just a circruit breaker, which happens in old hotels. I sent the head housekeeper to all the floors to check, and nothing was wrong, just no power.
I called the hotel next door and they had no power either. Our hotels are connected so I still thought it was something with us. So I called the Canadian Honker restaurant. They had lost their ovens and refrigerators. So the good news was, it wasn’t something in our hotel that blew up.
Then, I realized the street light in front of our hotel wasn’t working either. I went outside to take a look around and noticed police cars parked at all three intersections in sight.
It was funny how people went into a panic. Immediately everyone forgot how to function. Simple driving abilities went out the window. I guess people are just trained to panic and think “Oh my god, TERRORISTS!” every time something happens. I just wanted to know what was going on, but other people were seriously scared we were gonna have a plane crashed into our hotel or something.
About an hour and a half later and everythings on… just in time for kick off! Atleast I can enjoy this weeks games without being pissed off about the Vikings.
